MATCHBOX _ Cuckoo clocks for those who love collecting matchboxes.

The cuckoo is a notoriously lazy bird that prefers to use other people's nests rather than build its own. Now it has found a new home in an old Swedish matchbox and enjoys swinging the last remaining match between one hour and the next.

Swedish matchboxes have been an ideal medium for the rapid dissemination of information for many years. Political events, wars, attacks, catastrophes, births and marriages of rulers, and scientific discoveries are just some of the themes illustrated on these boxes.

Designer Marco Bedognetti reinterprets the matchbox for a new collection of cuckoo clocks, "MATCHBOX". Artist Nicole Da Porto, inspired by circus advertisements, has created four graphic themes: the "PirondiniS Circus".
